PADIN & PARTNERS LAW OFFICES (“We”) is a full-service law firm duly organized and governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, with its principal office address at Unit 1502A, The Meridian, Kasambagan, Cebu City, 6000, Philippines.  

We provide legal services to various clients locally and abroad through our Pasig offices and Cebu City offices.We recognize and respect your data privacy rights and ensure that all personal data gathered are processed in accordance with the Data Privacy Act (“DPA”), its Implementing Rules and Regulations (“IRR”), and other policies and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (“NPC”).

In all instances, we strictly adhere to the provisions of the DPA and to the general principles of Transparency, Legitimate purpose, and Proportionality in the processing, collection, retention, and disposal of personal data.

PRIVACY NOTICE

This Privacy Notice is for our website: www.padinlaw.ph . These functionalities enable us to collect and process your personal information.

  • Personal Information Collected and Manner of Collection
        1.1 For our website visitors, We may collect personal information in the course of our business, and during our various transactions, when you manually or electronically, submit to us your inquiries, appointments, or requests:
             1.1.1 Name;
             1.1.2 Phone Number; and
             1.1.3 Email Address.
         1.2 For individual clients currently being served by our Firm or prospective clients, the following information may be collected:
              1.2.1 Name;
              1.2.2 Address;
              1.2.3 Employer/company name;
              1.2.4 Job Position;
              1.2.5 Phone Number; and
              1.2.6 Email Address.
  • Use and Purpose
       2.1 The personal information shall be kept private and confidential and shall be used solely for legal purposes as mandated by the DPA.
       2.2 Collection of personal information is done for the purpose of:
              2.1.1 Deliver quality, responsive, and timely legal services to our clients;
              2.1.2 Fulfill our legal or contractual obligations and enforce the same;
              2.1.3 Solicit feedback and comments for the services we provide or have provided;
              2.1.4 Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, judicial processes, and regulatory requirements;
              2.1.5 Comply with the requirements of public order and safety, or fulfill the functions of public authority; and 
              2.1.6 Protect your and our clients’ data privacy rights. 
  • Disclosure of Personal Information
       3.1 Personal Information processed is not shared and disclosed with any other party unless the same is allowed by the DPA.
  • Retention of Personal Information
       4.1 Personal Information that we processed for any of the aforementioned purpose/s shall not be kept longer than is necessary for that purpose/s.
       4.2 We store physical files containing personal information in a secure area within our office;
       4.3 We store electronic files containing personal information, in our computers and servers, which are kept in a secure environment using encryption, firewall, and anti-virus.
       4.4 With respect to our client, we will retain relevant personal information for so long as the case or matter is pending or active, and for a period of at least five (5) years from the date of our last interaction with that client, termination or finality of the decision, case, or matter. 
       4.5 With respect to our website visitor, we will retain relevant personal information for a period of at least three (3) years from the date of our last interaction with that website visitor.
  • Deletion and Disposal of Personal Information
       5.1 Physical records containing personal information shall be disposed of through shredding, while electronic files shall be anonymized and deleted. 
       5.2 In all instances, our manner of disposal shall ensure that the personal information shall no longer be retrieved, processed, or accessed by unauthorized persons.
  • Rights of a Data Subject:
       6.1 As the Data subject, you have the following rights under the DPA:
             6.1.1 The right to access to your personal information;
             6.1.2 The right to rectification or to make corrections to your personal information;
             6.1.3 The right to object to the processing of your personal information if the personal data processing involved is based on consent or on legitimate interest;
             6.1.4 The right to erasure or blocking of your personal information, whenever warranted;
             6.1.5 The right to data portability through which you may obtain and electronically move, copy, or transfer your data securely for further use; and 
             6.1.6 The right to damages and file a complaint before the NPC.
  • Concerns

  • Review and Effectivity
       8.1 This Privacy Notice shall take effect on 07 August 2024.
       8.2 We will review this Privacy Notice every three (3) years from the date of effectivity.
